England
The weather in England can be a bit less favorable. Especially in the winter, there can be a lot of rain, and the days are cold and dark. Nevertheless, England has a lot to offer. My adventure included the Peak District, near Nottingham. After that, I went for a surfing adventure to Cornwall.
Cornwall is located on the far western coastline of England and offers fantastic surf conditions. The water is cold, but with a good winter wetsuit, you stay well warmed. Rain won't bother you; you're already in the water.
And the waves! Such beautiful lines!
Surfing in Cornwall
Cornwall has many beautiful spots for surfing. My first surfing experience in Cornwall was in the town of Newquay. It tends to be very crowded here during the summer months, but in the winter months, I practically had the waves to myself. And the conditions were excellent! The waves roll in like lines. The water is very cold, so a good wetsuit is crucial!
Newquay
Newquay is known as the surfing capital of England. There are plenty of surf shops where you can rent boards. Breathtaking views from atop cliffs are abundant here. Taking walks along the cliffs makes the adventure truly worthwhile!
The Peak District
In England, near Nottingham, you'll find the Peak District. This is a hilly landscape where you can take very beautiful walks. Some walks are long, while others don't require much time. Occasionally, you come across a small English countryside cottage where sheep, cows, and other livestock roam. A beautiful piece of England!
